Go-karts, not so much.

A German teenager who took a kart for a spin in Moenchengladbach managed to give seven police cars the slip in a high-speed chase through the town.

Police spokesman Willy Thevissen said: "We were chasing him across town, but the squad cars couldn't keep up because the go-kart was able to take the corners faster and get away."

Let’s get ready to rumble

Most of the world’s police cars are fitted with the obligatory flashing blue lights and loud siren to let road users and pedestrians go one further.

But police in Washington DC has gone one better.

They’ve installed speakers in their squad cars so powerful they shake the ground and everything on it to get motorists’ attention.

The sound system, which stateside cops have nicknamed ‘Rumbler’ can affect objects 60m away.

Moo-dified car

How many farm animals can you fit in a Fiat Uno?

Four.

An Uno-owning animal thief in South Africa managed to fit two cows and two goats into his Fiat before attempting to make a getaway.

Unfortunately the Uno’s horsepower couldn’t cope with the extra weight and the would-be rustler had to abandon his stolen livestock.

The thief was never caught, but all the animals were safely recovered.
