The Dutch drivers of this Ferrari 599 GTB had stopped at some traffic lights when they saw smoke coming from the front of the car. The smoke quickly turned into flames, and the driver and passenger made a hasty exit as the front half of the supercar was totally destroyed. The cause of the accident is being investigated, but it's safe to say the damage probably wont polish out.
When is a friend not a friend? When they bring back your Porsche looking like this. A racer at an AutoX competition in the US handed the keys of his £50k Porsche 911 GT3 to a pal for one race. All was going swimmingly until the end of the race when the 'friend' accidentally depressed the clutch instead of the brake. And that's not the only thing he depressed also damaged in the accident were a Subaru WRX, a Toyota Celica GT and an Audi A3. Ouch.
It's been quite a week for Manchester United and England star Wayne Rooney. He scored the winning goal against AC Milan in the Champions League semi-final first leg, his girlfriend Coleen McLoughlin stalled his brand new Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder while trying to park it in front of fans at Old Trafford. Then the 21-year-old striker took the same Lambo out, quite literally, for a spin. He lost control of the £115k supercar on the A6 between Manchester and Macclesfield, and ended up facing the wrong way. The car, which Rooney ordered before Christmas, goes from 0-60mph in 4.3 seconds, and has a top speed of 195mph. Weird pic of the week
