This week:

Everybody's stalking

Police catch people speeding. That's the way it's always been.

But US couple Lee and Teresa Sipple got more than they bargained for when they put up three speed cameras outside their home in Bartow County, Georgia.

The couple had intended to slow down local motorists and make their road safer for their young son, but ended up catching a local policeman in their speed trap.

Police officer Richard Perrone was caught by cameras, speeding at 17mph over the limit.

A few days later the authorities visited the Sipples and told them Perrone intended to press charges against them for stalking.

It begs the question - how exactly do you stalk someone with a stationary camera?

Road signWelsh road signs

Multi-lingual road signs are commonplace in many countries, including Wales.

What you don’t expect is to see a Welsh road sign in an English village.

Motorists in Cambridgeshire were surprised to see a sign this week which read 'Traffig O'ch Blaen'.

After much head-scratching local officials were informed the wording was Welsh for 'Traffic Control Ahead', and was probably put up by a team of workers from Cardiff who were installing a sewer at a nearby railway station.

Parish council chairman Charlie Nightingale said: "They've come up from Cardiff and must have had the dual language signs in their lorry. I don't think we have many Welsh people in Shelford."

Diamond geezer

Taxi driving isn’t an easy business. To be tipped just 15p for a taxi ride must grate a little.

But when New York cabbie Osman Chowdhury was tipped just that amount, he found a little something extra in the boot.

A wealthy woman passenger had left a bag containing 31 diamond rings worth hundreds of thousands of pounds.

The honest taxi driver went to great lengths to track down the owner, who gave him a £50 reward.

Mr Chowdhury said: "All my life I've tried to be honest. Today is no different."

Weird pic of the week:

Back a bit… back a bit… back a bit.

Woah.

Video: Grand Theft Auto - Lego City

Richard Hammond loves Lego. While recuperating from his 288mph dragster smash last year he became obsessed with the little plastic wonderbricks.

Brickstar Games, who made this Lego recreation of Grand Theft Auto also love Lego. And have a lot of time on their hands.
