This week:

Mistaken i-DENT-ity

Cutting up someone's clothes, laxatives in coffee, stapling ties to tables - all good revenge tactics.

When 48-year-old Northwood resident David Higgins fell out with Richard Lukins over a business deal, he decided to hit him where it hurt by reversing his pick-up into the Ferrari in Lukins' garage. Repeatedly.

Only it was the wrong Ferrari.

The blue 550 Maranello actually belonged to orthopaedic surgeon Matthew Sala.

According to an eyewitness the first impact crushed the Ferrari against the garage wall 'none too tenderly'.

Mr Sala said: "He got frustrated, saw the owner getting out of my car and reacted. I'm pretty angry, because the garage owner didn’t have permission to drive my car."

Mr Higgins was fined £1,000 by Harrow Crown Court and ordered to pay £700 costs.

Kate MiddletonPosh parker

I wonder if traffic wardens have an in-house competition to see who can ticket the most famous driver.

If so, one west London warden has won this month's competition already, slapping a ticket on the windscreen of the (potential) future Queen of England, Kate Middleton.

Prince William's 24-year-old girlfriend parked her car in a London street, but the failed to spot a sign prohibiting parking as the space was needed for removal vans.

An onlooker said: "She did look a bit miffed to get a ticket."

Fast cabbie

Most of us (cough) are guilty of driving a little over the speed limit.

But cabbie Tom Matthews was clocked by speed cameras driving at 420mph.

In a 12-year-old diesel Cavalier.

The 34-year-old taxi driver was snapped as he drove a woman home at 2.20am in Newport, South Wales.

Mr Matthews said: "I drive an old banger - not a jumbo jet. According to this, I've broken the land speed record. I should be a Grand Prix driver - I'm wasted in taxis."

The Mid and South Wales Safety Camera Partnership blamed an "employee processing error".

Cow carWeird pic of the week

Thanks to my office manager Lynne Black who sent me this photo of a car she saw while on holiday in Australia.

It's the attention to detail - the cow pattern covered interior - which clinches it for me.

Video: Overtaking manoeuvre

Here’s a great video of a couple of Porsche 911 GT3 and an Aston Martin DB9 racing around a track in Belgium.

Keep watching.

If you're slamming a GT3 round a race track, there are a few things you don’t expect to be overtaken by.
