Right now there are some fantastic deals to be had on new and used cars.

Andy Goodwin finds some of the best bargains in each class of car.

Top deal
Vauxhall Vectra
Save £9,200

The Vauxhall Vectra is a venerable saloon which is great at eating up motorway miles and can swallow an entire family. It’s also one of Britain’s favourite company cars, which means there are plenty of nearly new examples flooding on to the used car market.

This is great news for savvy buyers. Motorpoint has a 2007 Vauxhall Vectra 1.8-litre petrol with 13,395 miles on the clock on sale at £6,995 – a massive £9,200 saving on its value a year ago.

Ford is running a promotion on its popular Ford Ka until June 30. It’s very posh for not much dosh.

Forget haggling with the dealer for one free tank of petrol – this offer saves you enough to get around 17 fill-ups for free.
