The lowdown on Ford's new C-Max
25 June 2003 We've prodded and pulled at the five-seater MPV and taken it to task on the road to see if it's been worth the wait - and to see if it lives up to Ford's claims that the C-Max will offer the best ride and drive of any midi-MPV thanks to its next-generation Focus hatchback chassis. Sales start this summer, when the Ford will face tough competition from Renault's all-new Scenic and Volkswagen's Touran. Unlike these cars, or Vauxhall's Zafira, the C-Max will only be available with five seats, because Ford believes people needing seven will buy a full-sized MPV such as the Galaxy. Prices have not been announced, but we expect the C-Max to cost from around £14,000 to £18,000. |
