Players will be able to race their favourite Ferraris including the Ferrari 599

12 March 2008

Welcome to Adrian Hearn’s Car Videos of the Week.

We’ve been trawling the web for some great motoring clips, from the funny to the plain unbelievable.

This is what we found…

Gran Turismo 5 Prologue special

Gran Turismo 5 Prologue is the pre-cursor of 2009’s full-blooded GT5.

But Gran Turismo 5 Prologue is no stop-gap release – from the official details the Sony PlayStation 3 racing sim looks like being the driving game of the year.

You’ll get to drive round six tracks from the Fuji Speedway in Japan to the Daytona International Speedway in the USA.

But the track we’re looking forward to thrashing a Ferrari F40 round is the custom-designed ‘London city’ route. And it’s not just because it’s in London.

For the first time in the Gran Turismo series’ ten year history players will be able to race their favourite Ferraris against other sports cars. There will be four Prancing Horses to choose from including the Ferrari 599 – a car billed ‘as the greatest grand tourer of all time.’

Other cars in the game include the 192mph Nissan GT-R supercar which shocked the motoring world last week with its bargain £52,000 price tag and the all-new Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X (read our review of the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X now).
