A spokesperson for the Italian supercar maker said: “Most of our models have waiting lists of around two years.” But if you fancy the ultimate edition of the gorgeous Ferrari 430 – the Scuderia – you may have to rethink your options. “The 430 Scuderia has completely sold out.” Rolls Royce Phantom Drophead Coupe This three-tonne beast is one of the world’s most exclusive Rollers and will set buyers back a mammoth £305,000. Powered by a 6.75-litre V12 engine, the Drophead’s interior features the hides from 17 bulls and takes 450 man-hours to make. And the waiting list for this topless beauty? Two years. Aston Martin DBS 007’s car of choice, the jaw-dropping Aston Martin DBS takes a standard DB9 and injects a healthy dose of steroids. The result is the fastest accelerating production Aston ever – completing the 0-60mph sprint in just 4.3 seconds. But the waiting list isn’t nearly as quick – customers with £160,000 burning a hole in their pockets will have to wait at least 18 months for the DBS. Audi R8 One of the hottest new cars of 2007, the Audi R8 entered the motoring world in a blitz of drama and acclaim. Underneath the carbon-fibre bodied exterior lies a heart of menace – a 420bhp V8 engine. And according to reports, Audi is seriously considering slotting an all-new V10 under the bonnet of the R8. An Audi spokesperson said: “If you ordered one today, you’d have to wait until at least early 2009”. Nissan GT-R The beast from the East is back – Nissan unveiled the return of ‘Godzilla’ to a waiting world. A Nissan spokesperson said: “We’ve already had 2,200 orders since the car was announced.” And although the UK spec car hasn’t been finalised yet, buyers in Japan are waiting approximately six months before they get their hands on Nissan’s most anticipated sportscar.
