Footballers, politicians, rock stars and Top Gear presenters – Auto Trader is the place to find a celebrity-owned car.

Andy Goodwin rounds up the top ten stars’ cars for sale now.

Name: Wayne Rooney
Car: Mini Cooper S GP

Manchester United star Wayne Rooney has had a bad week after England crashed to defeat in Russia denting the Three Lions' chances of qualifying for next year's European Championships.

But you could get your hands on his old motor. Rooney was the first owner of this hot supercharged Mini which boasts 218bhp and 185lb/ft of pulling power.

The lightning-quick hot hatch has unique alloy wheels and can reach 62mph (100kph) in less than 6.5 seconds, before running on to a top speed of 150mph.

Name: David Beckham
Car: Ford F150 Harley Davidson edition

David Beckham’s Ford F150 is one of the hottest pick-ups on the market.

The F150 packs a supercharged 5.4-litre V8 engine, producing a heavyweight 340bhp. It also boasts a leather interior, satellite navigation, a reversing camera and polished alloy wheels.

Name: Mel C
Car: Audi A3

Spice Girl Mel C was the first owner of this 1998 Audi A3 which she bought at the height of her fame.

Between concerts, recordings and telly appearances Sporty Spice clocked up more than 70,000 miles in the 1.8-litre, 120bhp hatchback.

Car: Porsche 911 Turbo

Germany captain Michael Ballack was presented with the Porsche 911Turbo by the Stuttgart-based car maker in 2006.

Powered by a 3.6-litre turbocharged engine, the Porsche 911 accelerates from 0-62mph (100km/h) in 3.9 seconds before hitting a top speed of 193mph.

Car: Mercedes SL350

Current WBO Super Middleweight champion Joe Calzaghe is selling his Mercedes SL350 as he concentrates on training for his next fight.

The sexy Mercedes packs 272bhp, giving the topless German a 0-62mph time of  6.6 seconds and an electronically limited top speed of 155mph.

Name: Jimmy Greaves
Car: Chrysler 300C

The England footballing hero and cult TV presenter was the first owner of a provocative Chrysler 300C.

With a 5.7-litre V8 producing 340bhp, the American muscle car rockets  to 60mph in 6.4 seconds before reaching  a limited top speed of 155mph.

Car: 1983 Bentley Mulsanne Turbo

Follow in distinguished footsteps at the wheel of this 6.75-litre Rolls-Royce. Once owned by the fomer leader of the Conservative Party Michael Howard it is - ironically - bright red.

The F1 racer-cum-commentator was the first owner of one of the best all-round cars in history – the lightning quick BMW M5.

His old 1999 model has a 5-litre V8 engine producing 400bhp - meaning you can hit 60mph with four passengers in just 4.9 seconds.

Car: 1973 Ferrari Dino 246 GTS

Lead singer of band The Who, Roger Daltrey owned this extremely rare and effortlessly beautiful Ferrari for more than 30 years.

The bright red Dino has a 2.4-litre V6 producing 195bhp and giving it a top speed of 146mph.

Name: Jeremy Clarkson
Car: Ford Escort RS Cosworth

Jeremy Clarkson is renowned for his harsh but fair reviews, but he described his Ford Escort RS Cosworth as ‘one of my all-time favourite cars’ and ‘the ultimate hot hatch.’

The 1993 Ford the four-wheel drive Ford a top speed of 147mph.

And these aren’t the only celebrity-owned cars to have appeared on Auto Trader.
