The 5.5-litre engine produces 626bhp and accelerates the supercar from 0-60mph in 3.8 seconds before reaching a top speed of 208mph. It was once the fastest car around the Top Gear track and costs a juicy £313,000. But that’s small fry compared to the Bugatti Veyron. The £800,000 Bugatti Veyron accelerates from 0-62mph (100kph) in 2.5 seconds and has a top speed of 253mph. So what happens when the Veyron races the Mercedes SLR McLaren?
