This week: The 4x4 letter word This week's celebrity car prang award goes to TV chef Gordon Ramsay, who crashed his rented 4x4 while filming for his Channel 4 show the F-Word. The 40-year-old was herding water buffalo on Steven Mitchell's farm in Fife, Scotland A spokesperson from Channel 4 said: "They went charging around in two 4x4s, and there was a point at which they met." According to the show's makers the scene has been left out of the programme. There. I got through a whole story about Gordon Ramsay without using the phrase 'foul-mouthed'.
Toyota silly car
Strike an amusing pose next to a statue and have your photo taken.
Things not to do on holiday when you’re drunk.
Drive down 138 marble steps in a Toyota Celica.
That's what a 24-year-old Columbian man did in central Rome this week, taking his car down the 200-year-old Spanish Steps.
One holidaymaker said: "It was like something out of the Italian job – the car was coming down the steps a quite a speed."
The driver, whose car came to rest half way down the steps, has been charged with being twice over the legal drink-drive limit and damaging the marble monument. The long arm of the rickshaw
They're quite possibly the only PCs to have raced to a crime scene in a rickshaw. The Hereford officers received a distress call from a fellow cop arresting a man 800 metres away, but found themselves without transport. Pedicab riders Ben Matthews and Will Vaughan had just dropped off some passengers nearby when the officers raced over commandeered one of the pedal vehicles, ordering the other to travel alongside them as an outrider. With a top speed of 18mph, the rickshaws soon reached their destination. The PCs arrested a man, who is now in custody. Mr Vaughan, 26, said: "Ben and I were closing the gap on the bad guys, and I took the lead with Ben pulling the officers. We're fairly new to crime-fighting but like to imagine ourselves as cowboys riding down the bad guys. "The next few minutes were a blur of fluorescent jackets, sweaty riders and panicking criminals but we got our man. Unbelievable." PC Beament reportedly made a siren noise to warn pedestrians of their presence. Weird Pic of the Week: Ford Transit XXL
Adrian Hearn spotted this elongated Transit this week. It's big, and it is quite clever. Got any photos you think we should feature as Weird Pic of the Week? Here's one of them - footage of Dubya's limo breaking down during a trip to Rome. The recording is a little shakey, but it's a front row seat. Click the play button below to see for yourself.
