If you think you've had trouble getting insurance, spare a thought for the poor owners of these supercars.
In the final feature of our insurance week, Alex Eckford looks at ten cars which and guaranteed to cost you an arm and a leg to insure.
Bugatti Veyron The insurance for a Veyron (right) is almost as astronomical as its pricetag - £830,000. With a 0-60mph time of 2.5 seconds and a top speed of 253mph, it's a brave insurance company who agrees to cover for this beast. Especially after this crash.
McLaren F1 (above) Owned by the rich and famous the F1 has a top speed of 240mph, and once held the record for the world's fastest car. The insurance premiums are enough to make the eyes of even the wealthiest tycoons water.
Mitsubishi Evo With its huge spoilers the Evo can be a magnet for car thieves. But the real reason it attracts crazy insurance premiums is because it's built to do one thing only - let the driver go faster and corner harder than you'd ever think possible. (As we found out in Look at the Wheels on That and our Ten Point Test)

Ferrari Enzo Ferrari's automotive masterpiece is named after the company's founder. With a 6-litre V12 engine and a 186mph top speed you may have to sell both kidneys to afford the premiums.
Dodge SRT-10 The UK incarnation of the Dodge Viper, the latest model of the SRT-10 (SRT stands for Street Racing Technology) packs a 8.3-litre V10 engine with more power than all the bad guys in Star Wars put together. Speak to the insurance company nicely, and maybe send them a muffin basket.

TVR Sagaris Any supercar without driver aids like ABS or traction control is a vertitable insurance nightmare. Phoning round the insurance companies to get cover for TVR's 190mph gem will take considerably longer than getting insurance for a 1.4-litre Ford Focus.
Koenigsegg CCX Viewers of Top Gear witnessed The Stig making rare mistake, driving a CCX wide on the programme's test track. If one of the world's most experienced drivers has trouble controlling the vehicle, there's every chance you'll have it bouncing off a lamppost within the week. Expect sky high premiums.

Lamborghini Murciélago If your ownership of a Murciélago doesn’t get insurance companies twitching, nothing will. The supercar's 6.5-litre V12 engine will cost you as much in phone calls to insurance companies as it will in fuel.
Pagani Zonda F Pagani's mid-engined supercar is powered by 7.3-litre V12 engine which produces a staggering 594bhp. The insurance premiums are equally staggering. It's also clothed in costly carbon fibre.
Dick Dastardly's Mean Machine from Wacky Races Muttley would no doubt have a little raspy chuckle to himself when he saw Mr Dastardly's insurance premiums land on the doormat. Try getting insurance for a car which you regulary smash into bridges, other cars and the bottoms of ravenes. "Drat, drat and double drat."
