Don't forget to come back every Friday for your new helping.

This week:

Dash for the dashboard

An A to Z, a tin of boiled sweets, a blinking LED - all things you night find in the dashboard area of your car.

Illegal immigrants, not so much.

American border inspectors found one refugee wedged into the dashboard of a car crossing the border between Mexico and Southern Californian.

The driver of the car, a US citizen, was also arrested.

US Customs spokesman said Vince Bond: "Inspectors referred the vehicle for secondary inspection after the driver gave inconsistent answers to their questions. They discovered a specially constructed compartment underneath the dashboard area of the car and officers using a mirror could see part of a man's foot exposed."

Close shave

If you’re a Health and Safety inspector, it pays to be healthy and safe when in public.

Things not to do would include shaving while driving at 70mph.

South Lanarkshire inspector Edward Hutcheson has been disqualified from driving after being caught

Police officers saw him using an electric shaver, leaning forward to look in his rear-view mirror. He also had a dozen mannequins in the back of his car. I'm not making this up.

The 39-year-old, who had previously worked with the police on accident investigations, was overtaking rush-hour traffic on the A9 in Perthshire.

Sheriff Michael Fletcher said: "It is near the top end of careless driving, considering the conditions you were driving in and what was going on."

Mr Hutcheson told police he was late for a first aid course.

Weird Pic of the Week: Special Adrian

Imagine our unbridled joy when this fantastic three-wheeled BMW Isetta (which belongs to ace magician and all round good bloke Special Richard) rolled up outside our offices. The picture above shows editorial assistant Adrian Hearn modelling the sunroof.

But what is he thinking? Send your answers now to editorial@autotrader.co.uk.

P.S. Adrian loves his job, and his co-workers.
