Launch the Gumball 300 slide show.

The Gumball 3000 is rich-boy automotive craziness at its very finest. 120 top motors are flogged for over 4,800 km, starting in London and winding up in Los Angeles last Sunday.

This crazy event began in 1999 when Maximillion Cooper and 50 similarly hare-brained mates. The first rally stayed within Europe but for the first time will take in Asia and America as well this year.

Participants race hard and party hard. The event wrapped up at Hugh Hefner's Playboy mansion, but not before some treacherous roads and the zealous American police force had claimed a fair few of the entries.
