YFM250R Sport ATV: instant expert
|
||
The YFM250R Sport ATV is as at home on a racetrack as it is on a fast trail and has been a huge success since its launch. Climb aboard and you’ll soon understand why.
Its 4-stroke 250cc engine is a peach, with performance capabilities such as a special camshaft profile; high-performance ceramic coated cylinder and Mikuni 29mm carburettor putting instant pickup in your hand from just about any revs.
Delivering strong performance in the low to mid-range, the canyon-wide performance zone never leaves you searching for power because once you’re in, it keeps pumping hard right through the midrange and its absolute child’s play to stay in the zone.
On the trail you’ll never be caught in the wrong gear and once you’re ahead on the track, you’ll be hard to pass.
Whether it’s an unexpected uphill climb or a slow tree-root cluttered scramble, the low down torque will power you through.
The YFM250R’s motor is air-cooled for light weight and easy maintenance, and an external oil cooler keeps the engine internals optimally lubricated in all conditions.
Brakes are high performance, comprising of a triple discs system and suspension geometry is lifted directly from the awesome YFZ450. In short the YFM250R is a no-brainer choice for your first sports ATV.
QUAD Magazine said: “In stock trim the Baby Raptor is a brilliant entry level racer and clubs are recognising this, with some of them running a Stock class, such as NORA-MX.
"This is especially good news for new and improving racers and those racing on a budget, as modifications are not allowed.”
Quad racing organiser NORA-MX said: “Its out-of-the-box pedigree is certainly a perfect entry-level machine for youth racers... in its standard form, it is really competitive at all levels of youth racing.”
