Suzuki goes Stereophonic
|
29 April 2009 | |
Richard Jones of the Stereophonics has added a second Suzuki to his garage. The bass guitarist for the chart-topping Welsh group took delivery of a brand-new Suzuki GSX1300R Hayabusa last week.Jones, who only last year opted for a Suzuki B-King to get him to the recording studio on time, decided to add the legendary Hayabusa to his garage after moving out of London and into the country. "The B-King is a fantastic tool and great fun around London, but now that I need to cover much longer distances there was only one choice for me", says Jones. With a power output of nearly 200hp, the Hayabusa is one of the fastest production machines on the planet. It has been the weapon of choice for several top-speed record attempts since the launch 11 years ago. Completely updated in 2007, the Hayabusa has remained at the top of the hyper-sports tree and continues to maintain its legendary reputation. "The Hayabusa has such a reputation, and it's just one of those bikes that everyone should ride at some point,” adds Jones. “In fact, if I'm being completely honest, the longer distances are a bit of an excuse really. Just don't tell the wife!" Page 1 |
