Norton launches new range

News image Norton makes a jubilant return to Birmingham to launch their exciting new range of models at The Carole Nash International Motorcycle & Scooter Show.

Now based at Donington Park, Norton will be unveiling two important new machines, the 961 Commando and the Café Racer Commando.

Stuart Garner, entrepreneur and bike enthusiast, bought the rights to the iconic brand in 2008. Norton has since embarked on a vigorous marketing campaign including a return to the Isle of Man where they showcased their rotary engined race-bike.

Norton has, since 1907, had strong links to the Isle of Man TT where a twin-cylinder Norton won its class in the first ever TT.

Norton is also displaying the NRV588 Rotary race bike. Garner was recently seen speed testing a Norton rotary NRV at Bonneville Salt Flats in the US, logging over 180mph for a 173mph average run.

Stuart Garner, MD of Norton said: "We are very excited to be back! The UK is an important market for us globally and the NEC Bike Show has a massive and deeply knowledgeable audience.

"There is nowhere else we'd rather be launching!"

The Carole Nash International Motorcycle & Scooter Show runs from 27 November to 6 December at the NEC, Birmingham.
