Ducati UK has announced the opening of the world’s first new generation Store – and it isn’t in Bologna. It is in Manchester.Ducati Manchester’s impressive new 5000 sq ft facility includes over 100ft of glass shop frontage, echoing the cutting edge modern interior and style of the Store. The latest interior shows the Ducati range of motorcycles and clothing against a striking back-drop of brushed aluminium finished walls and powerful imagery including the new Ducati corporate logo and design. The new Store is on the A56 Washway Road in Sale, less than half a mile from junction 7 of the M60 and close to both the Trafford Centre and Manchester City centre. On show for the first time is the new Ducati logo. “A curve that crosses the logo is the emotion that becomes true on road and track,” says a Ducati spokesperson. “Symbolising victory and incorporating the Italian racing colour, with the classic Ducati script emblazoned above it, the Logo is also wrapped inside the shape of a heart, reflecting the emotion of the brand.” The combination of the main colour elements of red, black, white and silver provide the perfect backdrop for the award winning Ducati model range as well as riding gear, leisure wear and Ducati Performance accessories. Dealer principal Chris Booth is confident of the benefits of the new showroom design: “Our core business of selling bikes has increased year on year, but we have also become more conscious of the increasing demand for riding gear and leisure wear which has established itself as an important of our business. The layout of the new Ducati Manchester allows us to display our apparel effectively whilst not distracting from the bikes.” Customer service is an important part of the new Store with a dedicated service check- in and collection area where customers can be assured of a high quality service from specialist staff. Customers can even view their motorcycle being cared for in a clinic-styled race workshop from the service viewing area. A parts and accessories advisor is also on hand in the service area to guide customers on the best upgrade options to suit their motorcycle and their needs. There is also space area where enthusiasts can relax after a ride, socialise with fellow Ducatisti, chat with store personnel or just sit and watch the latest race and Ducati news on the plasma screen, while of course enjoying some Italian coffee. Tim Maccabee, Ducati UK Managing Director, adds: “Our aim is to deliver a premium experience to everyone who visits the showroom. Whether they buy a T-shirt or a new Ducati motorcycle, we want to welcome our loyal owners and first-time buyers alike to experience something special. I am really proud that the UK is the first country in the world to open a new generation Ducati Store and in particular it is great reward for the dedication which Ducati Manchester and their staff have shown over the last seven years.” Page 1 |
