Honda reveal new-look line-up

30 October 2007
News image Honda will bid for a hat-trick of British Superbike titles with new signings Leon Haslam and Cal Crutchlow in 2008.

Japanese rider Ryuichi Kiyonari won the last two BSB titles before leaving HM Plant Honda to replace World Superbike champion James Toseland at HANNspree Ten Kate Honda.

With Kiyonari gone, the British Honda team opted for Haslam and Crutchlow who have both raced for the Japanese manufacturer earlier in their careers.

The 24-year-old Haslam, from Derbyshire, has left the Airwaves Ducati team to return to Honda.

He said: "I'm so excited to be back with Honda in BSB. I just can't wait for next season to get started."

Crutchlow, 22, from Warwickshire, won the 2006 British Supersport title on a Honda before moving to superbikes this year on a Rizla Suzuki.

Crutchlow said: "Moving to HM Plant Honda is a step towards wining the BSB title - which has always been my aim - so this is a fantastic opportunity."
