Finance deal for the new MV Agusta F3
|
09 February 2012 | |
MV AGUSTA has always made exotic Italian machinery but this year sees them launching some seriously tasty bike models; the F3 675 sportsbike and the naked Brutale 675.
Thankfully, the firm has also announced we’ll be able to buy these models on a Personal Contact Plan (PCP). More on this in a moment.
The beauty of the F3 is that it looks so much like MV Agusta’s 2011 F4 yet it will cost just £9,999. This pricing – and what we get with it – will turn the middleweight sportsbike market on its head. And this is exactly what MV Agusta wants. It wants us to consider moving away our CBRs, R6s, 675s and ZX-6Rs and spend a bit more to get a machine which has plenty more to offer. So what do we get? Well there’s switchable engine mapping and traction control, launch control, anti-wheelie and a quickshifter. Oh and it has a claimed 132bhp along with that sexy three-cylinder engine sound.
To put the level of demand into context, 200 limited-edition Serie Oro versions of the bike (pictured directly below), costing £20,000, have already been sold. These are the machines with the Ohlins suspension and carbon fibre bodywork (and are mind-blowingly beautiful). Potential owners had to put down a four and half grand deposit to secure one…
So the Series Oro might all be sold but what about the £9,999 standard model?
Well, MV Agusta is putting ownership in reach by offering a PCP deal whereby we pay a 10% deposit for the machine then a monthly payment for three years. At the end of those three years we have a choice of whether we pay the rest and keep the bike, return it and walk away or part exchange for a new one. MV Agusta has explained the scheme superbly on its website here. Here’s what the deal might look like for an F3 675 below.
Other models in the range also have various deals, called CHOICES, and for some models there are up to four different choices, such as taking free accessories or interest free finance or a PCP.
So don’t be scared off, MV Agusta is now way more affordable than you thought.
