Trying a car has never been easier - lots of car brands now offer subscription services on a monthly basis, with no down payment or exit fee so you can swap in and out of different models with minimal notice. Or you can lock in for longer, on a leasing deal, which still means you just pay a monthly amount and hand the car back at the end of the deal.
Then there’s the Buy choice, whether it’s paying for the car with cash or signing up to a fixed term finance deal with the option to buy the car at the end. These are cars that make good long-term sense. And finally our fave section, for dreamers everywhere. The new luxe stuff, the wishlist option or the treat yourself splurge, depending on how big that imagined windfall might be. Enjoy this month’s offerings!

2024 Renault Scenic E-Tech driving up a hill

Renault Scenic E-Tech

An unbelievable range of just under 380 miles is the sort of promise you normally see attached to cars with a six-figure price tag. The reimagined Scenic, however, starts at £41,000, making it the best-value pure electric car if you're after a long-distance range. Factor in the far better styling than its predecessor had, and Google tech inside, and there's very little to say no to.

2024 Dacia Duster camping in a field

New Dacia Duster

Arguably the best car out there in terms of value for money, with prices starting at under £20,000, the Duster SUV might be basic but it has everything most drivers need, as well as surprising off-road capabilities. Top level versions come with reversing cameras and smartphone connectivity. There's a hybrid model which has an automatic gearbox, but all versions have great fuel economy.

Ayrton Senna's Honda NSX

By the time you read this, it may have disappeared from the Auto Trader ads, but as we write, the red Japanese supercar is on sale for £500,000. Queue jokes about one careful owner.... The car featured in the Senna documentary, "Racing is in my blood", and was drive by Giancarlo Minardi at Imola as part of a 25th anniversary marking the F1 star's death.
