Market Extension (Location +) Onboarding Discount Business Rules

The Market Extension (Location +) Onboarding Discount is provided subject to the Main Advertising Terms and Conditions and the Auto Trader Market Extension (Location +) Business Rules which are incorporated into these Rules by reference.

Terms defined in the Main Advertising Terms & Conditions and Auto Trader Market Extension (Location +) Business Rules shall have the same meaning in these Rules provided that, should a term be defined in both the Main Advertising Terms & Conditions or the Auto Trader Market Extension (Location +) Business Rules and these Rules, the meaning of the term defined in these Rules shall have precedence in relation to the interpretation of these Rules.

Business Rules ("Rules")

    1. In these Rules, unless the context otherwise requires, the following terms have the following meanings:
    1. "Discounted Rate" means the 100% discount that a Qualifying Retailer will receive for the first two calendar months of the Discount Period when they sign up to the Market Extension (Location +) Onboarding Discount. The discounted rate will apply so that the Qualifying Retailer will pay no cost for the Market Extension (Location +) Product for the first two months of the Discount Period and will then pay the full price for the third and fourth months of the Discount Period;
    2. "Market Extension (Location +) Onboarding Discount" means the Discount available to Qualifying Retailers taking the Market Extension (Location +) Product, which will allow a Qualifying Retailer to benefit from a Discounted Rate, providing that the Qualifying Retailer remains on the Market Extension (Location +) for the full duration of the Discount Period;
    3. "Discount Period" means a period of four calendar months commencing when a Qualifying Retailer signs up for Market Extension (Location +) Product;
  2. The Market Extension (Location +) Onboarding Discount is available to Advertisers who meet the conditions set out in Clause 3 (a "Qualifying Advertiser"), who subscribe to the Market Extension (Location +) Product subject to the Market Extension (Location +) Business Rules and these Rules.
    3. In order to qualify for the Discounted Rate, an Advertiser must:
    1. not have subscribed to the Market Extension (Location +) Product at any point during the immediately preceding 2-year period;
    2. remain subscribed to the Market Extension (Location +) Product for the full duration of the Discount Period; and
    3. not make any reduction to the number of Regions, as selected by the Advertiser at the time of subscribing to the Market Extension (Location +) Product, for the full duration of the Discount Period (but, at the Advertiser’s option, the Advertiser will be permitted to increase the number of selected Regions during the Discount Period).
  4. A Qualifying Advertiser will be entitled to cancel the Market Extension (Location +) Product in accordance with the Main Advertising Terms & Conditions and the Market Extension (Location +) Business Rules. However, in the event that a Qualifying Advertiser cancels their subscription for the Market Extension (Location +) Product before the end of the Discount Period, Auto Trader shall be entitled to charge the Advertiser at the normal rate for the Market Extension (Location +) Product for the duration of time that the Advertiser was subscribed to the Market Extension (Location +) Product.
  5. If a Qualifying Advertiser fails to continue to meet the minimum qualification requirements set out in clause 3, the Advertiser will no longer be eligible for the Market Extension (Location +) Onboarding Discount and Auto Trader shall be entitled to cancel the Discount without any liability to the Qualifying Advertiser and to charge the Qualifying Advertiser at the normal rate to continue on the Market Extension (Location +) Product.
  6. On expiry of the Discount Period, the Qualifying Dealer will automatically continue with the Market Extension (Location +) Product on the rates that relate to the Qualifying Advertiser’s package, unless the Qualifying Dealer gives notice to cancel the Market Extension (Location +) Product, in accordance with the Main Advertising Terms & Conditions and the Market Extension (Location +) Business Rules, at the end of the Discount Period.
  7. Auto Trader reserves the right to allow or refuse to allow any Advertiser to participate in the Market Extension (Location +) Onboarding Discount at its sole discretion.
  8. Auto Trader reserves the right to amend, modify or remove the Market Extension (Location +) Onboarding Discount at any time with immediate effect.
