The UK’s best-selling car, and the car people immediately think of whenever the supermini class is mentioned. For good reason, too. The Fiesta is simply brilliant to drive, with a ride and handling balance that puts many more expensive cars to shame.
The Vauxhall Corsa is one of the most familiar sights on British roads, thanks to its popularity as a first car. It’s stylish, practical, easy-to-drive and, in VXR-spec, a proper hot hatch. It’s also excellent value for money and cheap to run, too.
The smallest car in Citroen’s line-up is also one of the most likeable, with distinctive styling, plenty of standard kit and a certain charming honesty. Granted, it can’t match the best city cars for quality or practicality, but few have this much character.
