  • Good bike shop I.M.H.O.

By John B on 22 Aug

Hello. I got my 2004 R1 today, It is a beauty. Rite Bike has done everything right. They took around 3 weeks to get it ready, but they are busy and sell a lot of bikes. They replaced the front tire which possibly would have got through the M.O.T. and replaced the chain which I didn't notice a problem with. I am chuffed.

  • Waste of time

By Sheldon B on 10 Aug

Saw one of their bikes on AutoTrader drove from Manchester in the car. chatted with the salesman who made a poor offer on my bike as Part Ex and wouldnt budge on the price of the bike i wanted even though it was over priced. (wanted £300 off a 10k bike) Didnt return call or texts, so drove over a second time and spoke with a different sales person.. exactly the same didnt return calls etc The bike is still on sale 2 weeks later! Ive bought a better spec bike, a year newer got more on part ex from somewhere else.... ironically £300 less. if they aint interested when selling you a bike, how would they fair AFTER selling you one?

  • Lots to beware of

By Mike M on 09 Aug

Bike had under 1000 miles. Was told to wait 3 weeks for it to go through the workshop. Went to collect the bike, but from 10 feet away it looked very wrong, with sprayed engine casings on over three large areas, over-sprayed engine bolts and gear lever. The rear wheel had been sprayed without masking the weights and valve. The brake callipers were sprayed without stripping them down. Coolant 2 inches under the low mark. There was more, but I gave up noting. Saleperson was arrogant when asked about it only having 1 key ( no vital red key, or spare). Just beware when they say ‘good’ ‘clean’ condition. Good means nothing, and ‘clean’ just means it’s had a wash. Ask them to commit to more descriptive words that make viewing (and in my case, travelling) worth while. If they don’t, then something is being kept quiet. Also be aware that bikes sold here are from webuyanybike, as they are the same company. Deposit returned, but lots of precious time wasted, waiting, and travelling.

Viewed a bike on Autotrader and came in to view it the following weekend. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The showroom spotless and absolutely packed full of bikes. Had a great time out on the bike in the sunshine this weekend - over the moon! Thanks guys!
