    I would not recommend Alan Day City because they way the communication was handled regarding my initial complain about the bodywork but since then issue has been addressed and i am waiting for the final completion

    I would not recommend Alan Day City because they do not do what they say they will do. Poor communication is endemic throughout the organisation. I have finally taken delivery of my vehicle having sent it back once already as it arrived with a broken number plate and scrape on the front and back. The paperwork is missing a service book. I was told I would receive a letter indemnifying me against the emissions problem, but this has not been sent. It is really difficult to get through to anyone on the phone and there is no sense of value of the customer's time. I had read the poor feedback about Alan Day on line, but because my salesman seemed reasonable I thought it might be wrong - it was me that was wrong. The whole buying experience has been awful. i have bought from other VW dealers in the past and never felt as I do now. Buyers beware!

    The experience at Alan Day City was very good because of the time taken to answer my questions and explain the differences between cars, engines and accessories, the expectation that good customer service is the norm and the help with making a the right purchase for our family.
