Great at taking your money
I bought a car for £15.5k remotely on the basis of the Lookers promise of having a full, independently verified service history and a thorough mechanical check. Soon after collection it was clear the car was in a right state. It needed new brakes (£250), front tyres (£280), a hub assembly, windscreen, drivers door lock and an oil leak fixed. Some months on I needed to sell the car, but whilst checking through the paperwork I realised the service book was empty and no MOT certificate. It turned out that the car only had 1 service done, as part of an accident repair! They refused to take the car back saying they weren't allowed non-Audi cars any more (but had a Mercedes on the forecourt) and that it couldn't be sent elsewhere in the Lookers group. The dealership manager (when they actually bothered to respond to my complaints) had an answer for everything, but a solution to nothing. The car is now sold at an significant loss, and having cost me time and a lot of money to rectify.
