I do not recommend, I had a car booked, sold a car to someone else, did not answer me, did not answer my phone. That's not what happens to the client.

  • A sale lost because of the business owner

By Chris M on 24 Apr

I traveled to Sterling Performance to buy their white BMW M6. Price was agreed over the phone with Jason who was professional and polite. On arrival I was met by the business owner. He was extremely arrogant with a "I don't need your business" attitude. The car had signs of paintwork over spray on some exterior plastics. I asked if it had paint work done to which he said no however,"any car in this industry likely has work done". He went back on the price agreed with Jason and raised the price despite me driving 3 hours there to buy it. When asked about the warranty discussed with Jason he said "well that's what your consumer rights are for". He also refused test drives until the deal was done. I left the dealership after he said "I could sell this all day at 35k". On my way home I saw on autotrader he had raised the price from 33k to 34k which seemed quite petty. A week later I had a call back asking if I still wanted the car at the initial agreed price. Avoid.

  • A Warning For Anyone Considering A Purchase.

By Carl M on 02 Apr

Paid for a perfect condition low miles vehicle and asked for it to be delivered. It arrived very late at night (almost midnight) and the following day I notice the gear knob looked very worn and the gator was partially hanging off when in the showroom the gear knob was perfect. When driving, the gears felt very stiff and once warm the gearbox was extremely noisy so I took the car to a specialist and upon inspection was told the gearbox had been swapped for essentially junk and that the chassis had also suffered recent damage from improper jacking. Turns out between purchase and delivery the almost new gearbox had been swapped for an old worn out one and the chassis had probably been damaged during the swap. As I bought the car "sold as seen" (Even though this wasn't the case) I have no recourse and I'm out of pocket for nearly £10,000. This is is a warning to future potential customers. Avoid at all costs are at the very least, proceed with caution if you must proceed at all.
