  • Accident Damaged Vehicle

    Recently purchased a used vehicle from Norton Way Peugeot, upon viewing I felt it was a little under par considering they are a an official Peugeot Dealership selling approved used vehicles. I was however reassured when told that the vehicle had not yet been prepared for sale. The purchase was agreed based on a service (oil and filters) and some items noted being rectified. Sadly not all items were completed as agreed including the service, however the worst was yet to come. Upon arriving home and parking the vehicle in clean light I noticed a colour difference to the rear bumper. A quick inspection underneath highlighted that the vehicle had previously been in a rear end shunt. The previous accident had not been fully repaired with just the cosmetics being attended to. I am uncertain how this vehicle could pass through their workshop without this being spotted?.

    The add said Peugeot Traveller very low mileage standard length, We travelled 130mile from South Yorkshire to just north of the M25 when and we got there the traveller was the compact which was no good at all to us as it has very little boot space. The guys did apologise for the mistake but offered no goodwill gesture towards the cost of the fuel. So the journey cost me the 260mile worth of fuel plus refreshment. Sorry, guys, if you had offered some form of goodwill gesture you may have got 4 or 5 stars for your mistake (I did not ask them to cover the cost of my travel but then again I shouldn't have to)

    I was greeted on arrival Mr Pearce and the they new exactly why I was there and the car the was ready to view and test drive. Through out the time I was with them nothing was to much trouble, he answered all my questions. He asked me when I would like the vehicle and when I said this afternoon please, a quick check with the workshop and back with a yes, no problem. They even drove me into Letchworth to get some lunch and picked me up again. First rate level of service right from the start. After service has been excellent ad well.
