Customer Reviews (4)
Just bought a Kia Sportage from these guys and have to say they were excellent. Special shout out to "removed" who took me for a test drive on the first day and happily answered all my stupid questions. Then "removed" was great will sorting all the paperwork out for me the following day. I'm always slightly nervous buying older cars (this is 2011) but will all the checks and warrenty as well as a money back guarantee I felt more comfortable using them than other garages.
Not yet great for a first time buyer
Initial experience is not great, poor communication over phone as well in person. I am still awaiting my car and been struggling to get people on phone to agree on the delivery time as I paid in cash already. Also although they mention same day drive away always agree upfront if that is feasible or not. In my case they did not have the V5 and log in hand and hence the delay in delivery. The 14 day money back if honoured in the event of any issues with car and documents, with out causing further heart burn to customer is a consolation but I hope it does not come to that in my case as I liked the car. I Will update further once I take delivery of car and see if experience was one off. My main attraction in reaching out them was the competitively priced cars with low mileage and good condition which seems to be in market for the season. I think they have scope to be more considerate towards first time buyers and it help them gain loyal customers.
Never buy a car from Care Store
Borehamwood Car Store February 2019. Absolutely nothing was done correctly and communication skills are appalling when trying to get anything corrected. Among the failures: paid to reserve car at location but car elsewhere staff not expecting booked test drive AA inspection not mentioned emails ignored no MOT on car during test drive and attempted delivery without MOT no service history provided damage to car on delivery not present during test drive Formal complaint made to Evans Halshaw, owners of Car Store, assurance given that it would be dealt with by head office. Without informing me this was then referred back to the people who caused the problems. They also did not inform me that they had been asked to process the complaint and since they were in contact with me on specific matters this omission was a deliberate attempt at concealment resulting in no processing of the complaint for 2 weeks. Senior person to process complaint refused despite promise made on website.
So very bad
Very poor. Traveled 100 miles after confirmation email to see the car when I arrived greeted and sat down that's when it all went wrong first they could not find the car then it was out of petrol then I found out it had been a rental car and they tried to give me a lot less for my px all they could say was sorry clueless people I did not know who was a customer and who worked there wasted 3hours there stuck in London a nightmare. Check everything believe nothing
