bsolutely disgraceful service. I called about a vehicle was told the car was in great condition so paid the 200£ deposit to have it moved closer to me. Turned up to the viewing to find the car filthy, paint work poor, wheels kerbed, Ariel missing , leak coming in under the boot which is situated in the front, rusty head lights, bolts missing that hold the side panel onto the car .. a car which is supposedly worth 4 thousand pounds! And just to top the whole thing off the salesman had absolutely no interest at all in selling the car.. no sales pitch, couldn't answer simple questions like what is the engine size or where has the car come from, didnt want to look or comment on the things we politely pointed out instead got very stroppy and told us to go as the car wasnt right for us!! Never in all my years have I ever experienced anything like it before at a car dealership. If only I had checked out all the reviews before hand I would never have bothered.. what I find sad is the fact that
Poor after sales service
Paid a substantial amount of money for a used car - not a problem - however three weeks after getting car i realised the mot certificate had not been supplied although it had a 11 month mot on it. Went in to collect mot which had an advisory on it for uneven wear on brakes. I took a closer look at car and saw that 3 of the tyres were not far from being illegal. Evans halshaw were not prepared to do anything about that. Vehicle came with 11 month mot and a supposed AA inspection neither of which picked up the tyre's. Surely if you pay a substanstial amount of money for a car it should come with a set of decent tyre's. Expected better fron a national company -Wont be going there again.
Polite, friendly & professional
Family have dealt with both used and new sales, very polite and proffessional service would strongly recommend to friends and family.
Check very carefully what you buy from this dealer
I strongly recommend that anybody looking to buy a used car steers clear of this dealership I have just purchased a used Astra - 10 months old When originally visiting the dealership 2 weeks ago I sat in and evaluated a number of different spec cars and decided that I wanted a diesel for the fuel economy. The dealership did not have a diesel but found one on line within their group The car spec was printed off and detailed mileage, I was also told the car had recently been serviced 2 weeks later I inspected the car paid for it and took it home That evening I realised the mileage was 20% higher than originally advertised and looking at the service book a service had been stamped. There was no detail as to what took place in the service and the date stamped was prior to the date of purchase by Evans halshaw of the car from the original owner 12 unanswered phone calls later and still no response from this dealership Mis advertising of product and lack of customer service AVOID
