  • Paid nearly £20,000 for unroadworthy XE

    I paid c. £20,000 for Jag XE (68) under Approved Jag scheme Car didn't have features that were on web advert, technical specification was not accurate - ie I paid for features the car did not have -Sinclair did pay compensation for the missing items It was supposed to have a 165 MPI (multi point inspection), but this was clearly not done / defective Another dealer identified multiple faults & Sinclair took the XE back to check and fix the faults They then did half a MPI I chased them for a week to get it returned but they then threatened to report the courtesy car to the Police as stolen unless I agreed to take the XE back in a few hours (with no full inspection or explanation) They still did not fix significant faults, suggesting I take it to a more local dealer Head of JLR franchise said he, the showroom manager & service manager had all test driven the car, but these trips were not on Jag phone app -all others were They left full personal details of 3 other customers in the car
