By John M on 26 Apr

I bought a 17 year old MK2.5 MX5 as a summer runabout at the begining of March the service was superb as was the preparation of the car after about 10 days I had a minor ignition fault I returned the car and the service team were on it sourcing the parts and rectifying the fault with the minimum of fuss brilliant service

  • Great Dealership

By Geoff C on 16 Feb

I bought my first MX5 (a Racing Bronze coloured Mk2) from Supercarclassics some 14 years ago and then around 2012 bought a BMW Z4 from this dealer. However, after driving the Z4 for a couple of months, l decided l preferred the MX5 driving experience so took it back and swapped it for my current MX5 Mk3, 2 litre Sport. Don’t get me wrong, the Z4 was absolutely stunning to look at, but it just didn’t have the fun factor. All of these vehicles have been excellent and now that my son is looking for his first car, l know that Supercarclassics will be first on our list (should a suitable model appear on their website). Went to see a saab 9-3 convertable, I asked the salesman if he could tell me anything about the car, he said no because he had just returned from some time off. Looked at the vehicle and found a mechanical fault, Car was not really ready for sale. I had a good indication what the fault was, And in this instance they have I feel fell short of the Mark in offering the vehicle for sale when it had a fault. Their reply to me when I drew their attention to the fault was a little curt.

It had a noisy heater control flap motor, a common fault I now find on the 9-3 models. Hardly a mechanical fault for concern, and we did assure the customer several times it would be attended to before delivery. I`m sorry for any misunderstanding.
