Chevrolet Captiva 4x4

The Auto Trader verdict:

2.8/5
The Captiva has its strengths, but it also has some serious flaws, the high price being one of them. Other seven-seats SUVs do a better job for less money.

Family car for long and short journeys

Chevrolet Captiva

I bought the car as second hand, with 16k miles on the clock. I have covered additional 30k miles in the last year and a half.

Very comfortable ride, loads of space for family and friends.

From 15 min town trip to 8 hour drive we did in continental Europe.

Also very practical for IKEA kind of shopping.

It is not the fastest car to sprint, but once it builds up the speed on the motorway, it cruises elegantly, with excellent driver's position. King of the road.

On the motorway, 40-45mpg, on the local roads 30-35mpg, in town, well depends on congestion.

I am really pleased with the car, and would recommend it.
