London marathon
One TMG employee raised a staggering £2,000 for Samaritans at this year's Flora London marathon.
Dealer Engineer Supervisor Jane Cann proved practice makes perfect when she ran the marathon half an hour faster than her 2005 attempt, in five hours and seven minutes.
Naomi Lay, Head of Display Advertising, also completed the the 26-mile run in an impressive four hours and 44 minutes.

Paris to London Cycle Challenge
Seven TMG employees took part in the Paris to London Bike Ride from 20-24 June 2007 to help raise money for Samaritans, our charity of the year.
The riders covered 300 miles in four days and managed to collect £8,000 thanks to their combined efforts.

Three Peaks Challenge
Three men from printing company Acorn conquered the Yorkshire Dales for charity. Their 25-mile feat took them across Penyghent (694m), Whernside (736m) and Ingleborough (723m), before an early morning start on 5 October.
Nick Dodd, Jonathon Mullooly and Mick Nicholson’s goal was to complete the walk within 12 hours, earning them an exclusive badge in the process. Their fundraising efforts resulted in a £602 donation to Samaritans.

New York Marathon
Steve Mort of Trader Media Digital ran the 2006 New York Marathon in support of TMG’s charity of the year, Samaritans. His total fundraising amount came to a staggering £1,325.

Stress Down Day
The first company-wide sponsored fundraising event came in the form of a Stress Down day on 1 February 2007 to support Samaritans.
Staff donated a minimum of £2 to wear slippers to work and enter stress-free zones. A slipper character competition raised £160 in the Trader Media National office alone, while other offices brought in massage therapists and manicurists.

Samaritans 24/7 Day
To increase awareness of Samaritans’ 24-hour helpline service, employees gathered £556 on 24 July 2007.
Different TMG offices carried out a variety of competitions and events. These included hamper raffles, dress down days, buffet lunches provided by staff for £1, swear boxes, cake sales, face painting and even a ‘name the cuddly toy dog’ competition. .jpg)

Halloween Fun
Employees took advantage of Halloween in 2007 to raise money for Samaritans. From costumes to dunking for apples, selling spooky treats to raffles, Trader Media Group offices were home to a whole host of activities, putting the ‘fun’ in fundraising.
