Alguersuari: I have a 2010 Toro Rosso contract

Jaime Alguersuari says he will remain with Toro Rosso next season having already signed a contract.

Earlier this month, Toro Rosso team boss Franz Tost revealed that Sebastien Buemi will definitely be staying with the backmarker outfit next season but only hinted at Alguersuari's continued employment.

The Spaniard, though, insists he already has a contract in place that will keep him at Toro Rosso in 2010.

"We signed a deal a few months ago," he told Marca.

As for next year's Championship, while the 19-year-old admits points and even podiums would be fantastic, he won't know what results could be on the cards until he has driven the team's 2010 challenger

"It would be seriously brilliant to be capable of points or podiums, seriously fantastic. But in all honesty is it is necessary to wait until February and to see how the new car performs. So we will see," he said.
