Guide to the Plug-in Car Grant

From January 2010, buyers of electric, plug-in hybrid or hydrogen-fueled cars will be entitled to a ‘Plug-in Car Grant’ for 25 per cent of its value up to £5,000. The incentive is designed to encourage sales of low- or zero-emissions cars in the UK. The scheme is planned to last until March 2014 and will fund the discount for around 8,600 cars.
