The second-generation Porsche Cayenne has some big boots to fill. The original became Porsche’s biggest-selling car, shifting even more than the iconic 911 - and that launched in 1963. If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. That seems to be Porsche’s philosophy, and it’s served the company well. It rarely seeks to reinvent the wheel, rather building on the strengths of models which have gone before.

Ex-England captain’s Porsche Cayenne for sale
A Porsche Cayenne previously owned by ex-England captain David Platt is for sale on Auto Trader. The star midfielder and national hero was the first owner of the 2004 Porsche Cayenne S, which is powered by a 340bhp 4.5-litre engine. This means that it is capable of hitting 0-62mph in 7.2 seconds and accelerating on to a top speed of 150mph.
