Jaguar XF Sportbrake (2012 – ) expert review

Jaguar doesn't have much of a track record in estate cars - in fact, this is only the second one it has ever built - but the lack of experience doesn't show. Stylish, good to drive and pretty practical, the XF Sportbrake is one of the best executive estates.

The 500bhp Jaguar XFR is an executive super-saloon offering fine handling and comfort. It’s more rounded than the BMW M5, but the Mercedes E63 AMG and Audi RS6 offer more power.

Goodwood hosts Jaguar XF Sportbrake debut

Jaguar has chosen the Goodwood Moving Motor Show to unveil its latest estate car, the XF Sportbrake. The big-booted XF has been a long time coming, but it has certainly been worth the wait, with this stunning load-lugger set to disrupt the monopoly that Jaguar’s German rivals have held over the luxury estate market.

Jaguar XF Sportbrake announced

The long-awaited Jaguar XF Sportbrake estate has been announced ahead of its Geneva Motor Show debut in March. It will give customers a stylish alternative to the Audi A4 Avant, BMW 3 Series Touring and Mercedes C-Class estate.

New entry level Jaguar XF

The Jaguar XF is now available from £29,950, with the arrival of the new entry level 2.2 diesel model. Based on the existing 187bhp diesel, but with power turned down to 161bhp, the new model undercuts the previous base car by £1,000.
