The Alfa Romeo MiTo Cloverleaf is the prettiest hot hatchback available, with a great engine. However, it lacks some of the driver appeal of the MINI Cooper S and Renault Clio Renaultsport.

New Alfa Romeo MiTo range revised for 2011
The Alfa Romeo MiTo range has been streamlined from 17 models to nine, with updated trim levels and engines on offer and a new entry-level price of £12,250. Turismo and Lusso trim levels have been replaced with Sprint versions, while the new entry-level model is known as Progression.

Alfa Romeo Mito Turismo Sport released
Details of the Alfa Romeo has released details of its Mito Turismo Sport special edition, costing from £199 per month to buy, with a £1,000 deposit. The Turismo Sport is fitted with £1,610 of additional options and costs from £12,895.

Alfa Romeo Mito hatchback (2009 – ) first UK drive
Alfa Romeo hasn’t had a small hatchback for a long time. Its previous effort, the Alfasud was considered one of its most successful models, but after it was dropped in the 1980s, it concentrated on larger cars. But the small Alfa hatch is back, in the Mito; and the significance of a small, cheap to run hatchback launching now isn’t lost on the company. It hopes to attract buyers downsizing from bigger cars, as well as attracting younger buyers who might otherwise choose a Mini.
