TOYOTA COROLLA VERSO 2.2 D-4D T2 5dr (Review date: 29th June '12)

4.8

Having done the research 3 years ago and finding high owner satisfaction and a Which? Best Buy the Toyota Corolla Verso 'ticked all the boxes' for us. It has a superb 2.2 Diesel engine which has fabulous torgue and has returned an outstanding 60 mpg on one particular journey up north. To be fair we usually get about 50 mpg.

The seating is very comfortable and easily adjusts to whatever we are carrying (I've had 5 adults and 2 kids in the rear seats, as well as made several very worthwhile trips to the dump. Toyota sevicing is fantastic and fair. The controls are all easily available and it has some nice features - like the automatic window closures, even after switch-off.

My only real gripe is the visibilty rear-wards. We had several small knocks in the early months of ownership, but now we use the side mirrors properly! Van drivers will find it a cinch.

The Verso is a robust, flexible, reliable, adaptable, economical and fun car to own.

A pity we have to sell it.

Toyota Corrolla Verso

TOYOTA COROLLA VERSO 1.8 VVT-i T3 5dr (Review date: 23rd June '12)

Probably the most reliable and flexible car that you could own. I have owned one for 6 years it never breaks down, is economical, can carry 7 people and yet the 1.8 engine performs really well.

Im a happy driver again!

TOYOTA COROLLA VERSO 1.8 VVT-i T3 5dr Auto (Review date: 24th February '12)

4.3

My toyota, Ive had quite a few different cars over the years but I love my toyota, yes i did say love. I bought it second hand with a full service history, I've had toyotas before so I knew it would be reliable. For health reasons I needed a raised seating position and an automatic. I knew it was for me when I saw it - the seating position seemed just right, i had a little drive, great it was very easy to drive. Well this car was ticking all the right boxes ( as they say). The previos owner had kept it immaculate, since getting the car home quite a few people have commented on what a lovely colour red it is.

But from day one the difference it has made to my life is huge, I don;t have pain in my foot anymore when i'm driving before my verso i'd end up limping after driving.Since owning this car which is nearly 2 years i have only had to service it,MOT and replace the tyres thankfully nothing major has gone wrong (but I didn't expect it too).Around town it is smooth and motorway driving is very easy.

The down side to my car is its heavy on road tax and heavy on fuel, but i knew there would be as its an automatic. My car is functional, roomy, easy to drive ,easy to park, i'm a working mum so I use it every day to and from work, to and from nusery. My toyota has made me a happy driver again!

Super-flexible multipurpose though not very cool car

TOYOTA COROLLA VERSO 2.2 D-4D TR 5dr (Review date: 27th January '12)

4.5

I was looking for a reliable and flexible car that delivered what the original Mercedes A-class had promised (only without the huge costs). I wanted to be able to drive to work in something comfortable and reasonably quick and then at the weekend stick a couple of bike in / on and a dog crate in the boot and head off into the hills.

The Toyota Verso does not disappoint, although as always, I hoped for fuel consumption that better matches the manufacturer's advertising literature.

The flexible seating system is great - proper fold-flat seats and the occasional 7-seat configuration has been something I have used rarely, but when I needed it, it was brilliant.

It is not the coolest car for a thirty-something male to be driving, but it is way more practical than for me to worry about that. The space in the back is huge - especially for the three main passenger seats - just have a look in the footwell and you will see what I mean.

It has been reliable with one major problem - it burned a lot of oil and needed an engine change which Toyota did for free even though it was out of its three year warranty. Toyota do seem to try very hard, especially if it is a deanship-serviced car.

I would strongly recommend this vehicle to outdoor enthusiasts and families alike.

Reliable, comfortable but a bit boring!

TOYOTA COROLLA VERSO 2.0 D-4D T3 5dr (Review date: 16th January '12)

This car does everything we bought it for, and very well. My wife's daily work car and the family workhorse.

We drive it to southern France each summer and it is pretty economical and reliable to date.

However, it isn't very exciting, handles ok and drives ok but it won't get your pulse racing.

But this isn't why we bought it, and we are happy with it

I've loved driving this car - I have a two year old and we bought it when she was a baby. It has been practical, comfortable and reliable, and if wasn't so expensive to ship it to Australia, I'd take it with me!

187000 miles without any problems only service parts and routine replacements. Company car changed in April but alas not for a Toyota much to my regret.

Not bad but your better with a renault

TOYOTA COROLLA VERSO 1.8 VVT-i T2 5dr (Review date: 27th October '11)

2.8

Had it a three years (54 reg) and still no big bills, touch wood. Mostly around town 95% of the time... Always had Renaults until this Toyota. It is OK but several areas compared to the old Scenics really let it down. Gear box is poor and every week grind the gears, or pops out of reverse; engine tends to die when you need it to get you out of a desperate 3 point turn; Hard steering at low speeds so parking is a pain: visibility is chronic out the back- the better models have a camera and a sensor-definitely recommend those ; bumpy ride was the first thing I noticed, even on the test drive -hard suspension means good cornering...yech don't try it- you feel every crack in the road so in Edinburgh that means uncomfortable journeys- long distance on motorways - autobahns with cruise control -recommend- is best for the Verso. Around town is hard work- plenty other cars are better ---but loads of room..great for going on holiday.

Stylish, practical, flexible, reliable

TOYOTA COROLLA VERSO 1.8 VVT-i T3 5dr (Review date: 27th October '11)

5

Great vehicle, has built in child booster seats which are very useful for families. Rear seats lift up fully and also remove so great for flexibility and loading. Smart interior, well equipped, great road handling and a comfortable drive. Very reliable, cheap to run. Higher driving position is comfortable offering good visibility and makes entering and leaving the vehicle easy, particularly for the elderly. 1.8 engine is punchy enough as the vehicle is light. Steering is easy and corners well. Would definately recommend.
