Seat Leon 184 FR - Superb

SEAT LEON 2.0 TDI FR 5dr [Technology Pack] (Review date: 27th May '14)

I recently took delivery of a Seat Leon 184 FR Tech Pack. Well what can I say other than this car is faultless (other than the drivers side electric window decided not to work the other day 3 days post delivery). The look of the car is sleek and compact, and must say you do receive some nice glances.

The performance for a 2 litre diesel is great. You have Sport, Eco and Normal modes, and I dont think I have taken it out of Sport mode much since I first sat in this car. Get in into 3rd gear at 25mph, foot down and you will get to 80mph at just over 5000rpm. Its great. However there is just no need to do that. The pull in every gear from just under 2000 rpm to just over 4000 rpm is great. Believe it or not I had a BMW 320d of the lights (and he was trying I assure you) down a dual carriageway and was 5-6 car lengths ahead by the time I needed to slow for a roundabout. Get one of these and see for yourself.

Cluth and gear changing are effortless. Maybe Im being bias as i've gone from a 5 years old Mondeo in to this. The difference is huge.

Inside the cabin id say you feel a little more enclosed than you would in a focus for example, however its a safe feeling and there is still a lot of room.

Gadets inside - Well all I say is sit in the car for a few hours and read the instructions whilst tinkering with any settings you might want. Its what I did and pays off in terms of understanding the features etc...

Not managed to see MPG yet... roughly doing 43 at the moment buti've not tried... It's hard not to be 'light' with the right foot when you have as much fun as I do in this car.

Overall for the price this car is superb. Yes you read other sites mentioning Golf and Audi 2 litre etc... but so what? Overall cost is cheaper by thousands... and if you were to lease a Leon vs an A3, BMW or Volkswagon there is 100 difference per month minimum and that isnt for a like for like power model either.

Brilliant car

SEAT LEON 2.0 TDI 184 FR 5dr [Technology Pack] (Review date: 18th December '13)

This is an excellent car and highly recommended. I have 184 with tech pack and 18 wheels. Ride is excellent, like BMW's in that it is nicely progressive with good absorption at slight compression, firming up and flat cornering. 18 wheels still great ride, no crashing or tram lining etc. Great looks and performance, I like it better than golf (which mechanically is the same as) and much cheaper with far better spec. MPG around 55mpg. Overall a great car and I am very glad i bought it. ps easily worth upgrade over 150 version, apart from power, bigger disc brakes and also better independent rear suspension. Great car.

Ridiculous Value

SEAT LEON 2.0 TDI 184 FR 5dr [Technology Pack] (Review date: 4th October '13)

This is my second diesel Leon FR. Compared with the previous model the improvements in build quality, ride and refinement are amazing. Seat's current offers mean you can get a well specced car at a reasonable price compared with a VW Golf or Audi A3.

The FR drives and handles well, is amazingly economical and most of all is a good looking car which seats 4 adults in comfort. At motorway speeds it is quiet and refined and whilst the ride is firm it is also very supple at the same time.

If you are looking for a sporty practical hatch with excellent build quality and a engine which, apart from when you start it, does not sound or goes like a diesel then you really must try the new Leon.

WHAT A BABY

SEAT LEON 2.0 TDI 184 FR 5dr (Review date: 15th October '12)

Wanting a small Hot Hatch....Then Look no further...The All New Leon

Best Seat I have ever driven and had. the new 2.0L engine is just mint. Kicking out 184 BHP and returning unbelievable MPG figures.

This has got to be one of the fastest 2.0L diesel cars on the road. with a 0-62 in only 7.1 seconds...this is one baby of a car to drive, and just puts huge smiles on your face when you say bye to many cars...

All i can say this is going to become a sought after car...
