PRACTICAL BUT EXPENSIVE

OUR PEUGEOT IS A GREAT LUMP OF A CAR. THE REAR SEATS COME OUT COMPLETELY TO MAKE IT BASICALLY A VAN INSIDE. THE DOWNSIDE IS THAT THE RUNNING COSTS ARE EXPENSIVE. THE TAX IS NOT CHEAP, PARTS ARE EXPENSIVE AND IT IS A GAS GUZZLER! NEVERTHELESS WE ARE KEEPING IT AS WE ARE ABOUT TO MOVE HOUSE AND KNOW IT WILL COME INTO IT'S OWN.

PEUGEOT 806 1.9 TD Roland Garros 7 seat 5dr (Review date: 22nd March '11)

If you need a good value, reliable, and honest vehicle to carry family and friends, not to mention seemingly impossible loads, then look no further than the 806. I wanted a practical 7-seater, and it came down to a choice between the Galaxy/Sharan/Alhambra and the 806. Whilst the former might have arguably prettier styling, the 806 for me had the greater level of practicality, not least of all such as the real godsend of twin sliding side doors, and the ability to go under all car park height barriers.
I've owned my 1997 Roland Garros 1.9TD for three years, and never regretted it once. I saw many high-mileage, abused versions before finding an example that had been looked after. The biggest bill that it's presented me with has been £400for a cambelt replacement at 140k, including new water pump as a precautionary measure. It consistently gives me 40mpg, seemingly irrespective of how I drive it or what I'm carrying. Parts are readily available and fair value, and the biggest load that I've carried in the car has been two sofas at once. The seats are versatile and easily removed.
So, in summary, this is one of the best vehicles that I've ever owned, it does anything that I ask of it, and I've no plans to replace it.

Peugeout 806 1.9 -Reliable and economical
PEUGEOT 806 1.9 SVDT 6 seat 5dr (Review date: 6th March '11)

i purchased my 1996 SVDT second hand for £600 in July 2010. as I needed a seven seater for my school run as I'm a taxi driver. I have covered 15000 miles in six months and apart from routine maintainence like tyres and front brake pads, have had no trouble until I had to take it off the road as it was written off. Had this not happened I would still be driving it. Fuel economy is excellent...on a trip to Lancashire and back I covered 750 miles on one tank(80ltr)
Performance is good, cruises well on motorways fully laden, and always a smooth comfy ride. I would recommend the Peugeot 806 and will definitely buy another one

TO BE HONEST, THIS IS ONE OF THE BEST CAR I HAVE DRIVEN. IT IS SPACIOUS AND MY CHILDREN LOVE IT. THERE IS SEAT FOR EVERY ONE SINCE I HAVE A BIG FAMILY. IT IS ALSO CHEAP TO RUN. IT DRIVES EXCEPTIONALLY VERY WELL. IT IS CHEAP TO RUN ON A DAILY BASES BECAUSE OF THE LOW FUEL CONSUMPTION. THIS CAR IS SO RELIABLE. I LOVE THE SPACE IN THE CAR BECAUSE I DONT HAVE TO PAY A CAB FOR SOME OF MY FAMILY MEMBERS WHEN GOING OUT. THE CAR LOOKS AND DRIVE GOOD. I WILL RECOMEND IT TO FREINDS.PLS FOR ANY BODY WHO WANTS A GOOD, SPACIOUS, CHEAP AND RELIABLE CAR TO RUN THINK OF THIS PEUGEOT 806 HDI. THANKS.
