Great family car
PEUGEOT 4007 2.2 HDi SE 5dr (Review date: 24th November '11)
This is our first 4007, a late 2008 SE with Irmscher sports pack and 19" alloys. Practically I can't fault the car, its perfect for a family and carrys all our 9 month old lads stuff around with ease. Loads of storage and the boot tailgate being able to split is useful. Quite rare on the roads which lends itself a bit of exclusivity.
Brisk performance, good overtaking power although we had issues with clutch slipping due to the well known oil contamination problem. Reasonably easy to fix, just stick it in 6th gear, handbrake on and loads of revs to burn it off. Equipment wise it is good, trip computer is hopeless though and very basic. No self dipping rear view mirror. MPG - dont believe the official figures, you will be lucky to see 33-35 on a long trip. I average 29 -32 with mixed driving and a light foot. Where they get a combined figure of 40.4 I will never know. I expected better so a bit disappointed, but not too bad considering the cars size and bulk. Looking forward to trying the 4x4 modes out in the snow this year!!. All in all, very pleased with it so far and would recommend one.

Best car we have ever had great on a long drive pulls away great Leeds to euro disney was a great run service comes in dear but so do other newish cars only problem we had was the hydrolic block fault whatever that is nearly three grand to sort but got it done on warranty so ok !!! if your after a 7 seater (bit cramped in third row ) with a bit of style not bad on fuel either then this is the car for you i love it n so does the wife ( we agree on something ) at least !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
A reasonably prices 4x4 ideal for families
PEUGEOT 4007 2.2 HDi GT 5dr (Review date: 11th February '11)
Having owned several top marque 4x4's in the past I found the 4007 a little 'tinny' but taking the cost into consideration, extremely good value. The GT has a high standard of equipment, is fast and comfortable to drive and returns a reasonable mpg (34 - 36 mpg combined) when not towing. On towing my caravan I fould the rear suspension a little soft and the mpg decreased considerably, only returning low 20's (combined) when touring. I have not had any mechanical problems apart from a slight 'pinking' when accelerating after coasting, since purchasing the vehicle at 12 months old and covering 21,000 miles and have found servicing costs fairly reasonable.
Overall, a good, reliable 4x4, ideal for families as it has 2 fold down rear seats making it a 7 seater.
