bought this car on a 52 plate for £3100 wth 51k on the clock.had owned in the past espace(electrical nightmare) sharan auto and galaxy, and wanted something a bit more car like for me my wife and 4 boys.the sw looked good in aegean blue with pan sunroof a 7 seats .but boy oh boy what a mistake. drop links anti pollution problems, abs, air con ,brakes cost me a fortune.throttle cutting off on motorway !!! went to devon from bolton for a holiday this car spoiled the whole occasion .could not rely on at all.would grind to a halt if i used supermarket or total fuels and it got the taste for super unleaded.drove straight back from devon and traded in on the same day!now drive 2.4 voyager in black and what an improvement.this car has never let me down to date and turns more heads.look on the net for all the poor reveiws of 307.worst car i ever owned in 25 years of driving.

The comfort and MPG this car delivers is FANTASTIC..
This car wins on so many fronts.
7 Seats or 2 - Long drive or short comfort - 50 Plus MPG
With a Full Panoramic roof you feel like your in a GIANT of a CAR with space to spare, yet car parking is a dream !! My partner and I have fully enjoyed our near 4 years with the car and 70k miles
This has car has been low maintance and a JOY.

have only owned this vehicle for few months but have been really impressed with it.we mainly use it just for work and short journeys around town.
the fuel economy is amazing averaging 45 mpg.i have three children and a dog and there is plenty of room to accommodate us all.
the build quality is as you would expect for a car in this price bracket but every thing still works !!!
the seats are comfortable and seem to be made of good quality material.
there are lots of little storage areas which are handy.
the peugeot is generally a really nice car it drives well the steering is good and responsive the brakes are typically French i.e on or off not much feel but you get used to this.
for me the only negatives are it is bit choppy ride on bumpy roads ..but on duel carriage way it is much better .

Peugeot 307 SW SE 1.6HDi 110bhp - best family car by a mile.

I have owned the same car for the last 6 years. I have never done this before, I always got bored after a year or so. So why keep this one so long. Simples! It is the perfect family car. It doesn't drive like a bus, it will still fit 5 kids in comfort and I mean teenagers too. It must have been designed by a woman and a man as it has the best of both worlds - practical and good to drive. The boot is big and become enormous once the rear seats are removed (a simple task).
My car has done 60,000 miles and in this time has had only one major repair and this was in the first 6 months and done under warrenty, enough said about reliability?
Plastic wings and bumpers help in the supermarket car park! and the virtually wipe clean interior has repelled everything my kids have thrown at it, literally.
I will be sad to see this one go!

excellant value for money and cheap to run
PEUGEOT 307 1.4 TD HDi LX 5dr [AC] (Review date: 11th March '11)

a very good car for the money and with being an estate it is very practical. economical to run at 50 plus to the gallon not the fastest acceleration being only a 1.4 deisel engine but once you have the revs up it will drive all day at 70.
typical french electrics with the occasional glitch but still a very reliable car. a very easy car to drive comfortable and i use it every day to commute to work 30 miles per day with other milage and still fill the tank approx every three weeks and with road tax at £90-00
i would recomend this model to anyone and give it a four star rating.

Comfortable but electrical faults
PEUGEOT 307 2.0 SE 16v 5 seats 5dr [AC] Auto (Review date: 8th March '11)

I bought my 307 estate with 80,000 miles on it & ran it for 3 years, adding 60,000 on to it. It was a lovely comfortable car for long journeys, but with the auto box, I had a job to get 30mpg out of it. They look good, mine had leather seats, have lots of goodies on board but one gets lots of faults coming up, pollutions sensors, parking sensors packed up, window switches pack up. Good as a family car but unexciting to drive. The panoramic roof is superb but very hot in strong sun.
I had cheap tyres on it for a while & it was terrible in last years snow.
A great looking estate, relaxing to drive but I wouldn't have another.

Versatile car but niggley problems
PEUGEOT 307 2.0 TD HDi 90 SE 5 seats 5dr [AC] (Review date: 7th March '11)

Very versatile mine has the 7 seats, which an adult could just about sit in. Main problems are indicator bulbs keep playing up at front, common problem ive heard. Also watch out for 110BHP models that have FAP filters, not talked about much but they need topping up and can be expensive, you usually get a message on the screen in the dash. SE model has lots of toys, climate etc.. so go for this one its all round better. Great on fuel and cheap road tax and insurance not bad either. Would buy again and am thinking of getting a newer one.
