Great car with the added wow of being a convertible. Fast and nippy and small enough to be a very effective around town. Very large boot (fits large golf bag and clubs) and car is a genuine 4 seater. Cheap on fuel, insurance and tax and is very reliable. In fact in the three years i have owned the car i have not had any mechanical issues at all. Very safe family car.

This is a fantastic car to drive. Great in the summer with the top down and warm and snug in the winter with the top up. Drives like a go kart around corners and cruise along the motorway comfortably. I would highly recommend this car for anyone looking for a practical, fun convertible that can be used year round and which looks great.

A cheap, reliable, fun summer car.

I bought my 306 Convertible as a replacement for a 206 gti as the sun was shining and I've never owned a convertible before. It was a low mileage, 96 plate which was offered for a good price so I went for it. The car has been an excellent vehicle for the breif time I've owned it. It starts first time, every time and was a real pleasure to drive with the roof down in the sunshine. Considering the mileage and condition I can't think of a better convertible to buy for the money.

Surely due to become a classic. I've had this car for 10 years as a second car. Its one of the most attractive convertibles around. Miles better looking than the ugly Pug 307 tin-top anyway. It's fast, goes round corners like a go cart but equally at home pootling around the back lanes. Not especially economical but ok at 28 - 36 mpg. Very reliable. I'll be extremely sad to see mine go, but a newly acquired camper van means there's no room anymore.

306 Cabriolet, What a car!
PEUGEOT 306 2.0 2dr (Review date: 13th March '11)

As a student living 100 miles away from home, the car is perfect for me. There are 4 seats, the rear two are small but we have had 4 people in the car and driven from Eastbourne to Windermere and back, very comfortable for the driver!
Fastest car I've ever owned and very responsive. I've also never had a problem with reliability, the electric roof or anything. It is expensive for me to run and insure as I am a student, however its worth every penny! The only reason I have for selling this car is to travel to china, and to be honest I will be very sad to see it go.

If you want a car that's great to drive and fun to take out, especially in the sunshine this is the one. Used on a daily basis the running costs are average and it is very reliable. I have never broken down, it always feels good to drive. The acceleration is good and it feels very responsive.
Boot space isn't too bad at all, you can get the weekly shopping in or a holiday luggage for two. The leather seats feel very luxurious, tinted windows look great.
It takes a morning to really clean it well and re-proof the soft top, but this is worth doing as it looks great afterwrds and the rains runs off the top when properly proofed. You can't just take it through an automatic car wash but a hand car wash is fine for a quick clean.
It is really warm and snug to drive, even in the winter, although it needs driving with extra care on icy roads and the road noise can be loud, espceially on rougher surfaces.
Altogether, great fun to own!
