PEUGEOT 306 2.0 HDi 90 D Turbo 3dr [SR] (Review date: 21st August '11)

4.8

There are a few design flaws such as the cranjshaft pulley and sub-frame bushes which tend to fail more often than they should, however neither are expensive to fix. On the whole I think these cars are still, even today, stylish and great fun to drive. They are practical with good boot space and a genuine 5 seat capacity. The HDi engine is fantastic on fuel, and quick enough to be great fun. Later models are very cheap on road tax too.

Great medium sized car. 5 doors great for families, but prefer the look of the 3 door. Mine runs on about 70% chip fat and so does about 110 mpg. Holds road really well, fun to drive. Parts are cheap and easy to fit at home.

PEUGEOT 306 1.9 D Turbo 3dr (Review date: 11th July '11)

Fast, and fun to drive. Never let me down, and costs peanuts to own run and repair. Really what else could you want. I'll be sad to let it go when I need something a little more family friendly.

Easy drive, simple to maintain and inexpensive to run!

PEUGEOT 306 1.9 D L 3dr (Review date: 6th July '11)

As cars go I have to say that whilst this car is not a fast hatch it is a good solid drive. It is not expensive to run or maintain, it is easy to get replacement parts for and changing a bulb is a doddle! Anyone who wants a car that is not going to get you a speeding ticket on the motorway but will definitely get you there, you can't go wrong with the old Peugeot 306. It has a roomy boot and with the back seats down has plenty of space. Leg room in the back is good and comfortable.

It is as i expected when i bought the car, but is a little heavy on fuel, is comfortable but would be tiring on a journey lasting longer than an hour, due to the stiff suspension.

Not a bad car. Don't get many MPG round town but do you in any car. Suits us (couple no kids) size wise. For the age has been reliable but now things starting to go wrong (but taken till now). Not too bad on insurance and tax (although 1.8)
