PEUGEOT 1007 1.6 Sport 3dr 2-Tronic (Review date: 16th October '11)
I really really love my 1007 its bright green had it for 2 years and im still not used to people staring, they are not common at all by us so lots of people want to discuss this car, I must admit all the extras come in very handy air con, rain & light sensors, My kids love this car and its very handy on the school run as parking is always a problem at our school I also like the fact you can make the boot bigger just by sliding the chairs forward, I have never ever had a problem with the doors or even the car its so reliable. I must admit i have parked in a lot of tight places that normal cars have to pass over because the other drivers simply can not get out of their cars. The view from the front window is great as the window is very big and not obstructed, there are many storage compartments in the 1007 which come in very handy, to look at the car you would think its small inside but i must admit it feels a lot bigger once your in and it has good head height, mines petrol & very good on it three school runs a day, plus kids clubs & shopping trips i use £10.00 per week on about 90 miles which I think is good for pottering about .
Great Car for London
PEUGEOT 1007 1.4 HDi Sport 3dr (Review date: 9th May '11)
The high roof means its very spacious with headroom. The rear is adjustable so you can have the seats back to allow legroom or forward/folded to allow boot space. If I have back seat passengers there is never an issue with space. I am sure it would outperfrom any other small car in versatility and space. I have owned my 1007 for over 4 years and it is totally realiable. It has the Peugeot 1.4 HDI Turbo Diesel engine so its very economical and the drivetrain is well proven. Its insurance group 3 with 124mg emissions so tax and insurance as very reasonable. Also the purchase price second hand is a bargain compared to the spec you get. The doors are awesome for parking spaces and making the car cool. There are always people stopping to look at the doors and amazed by them. Then there are the airbags, ABS, Stability Control, trip computer, auto lights, auto wipers, steering wheels controls for audio and computer.
I find it drives really well. You need to adapt your driving style slightly so you change gears early to ensure that the torque is good (1st til 10mph, 2nd til 20mph etc). Once you remember that then its responsive and nippy. I would definitely buy another one. It's also a shame that the car industry came up with something innovative and then dropped it.

PEUGEOT 1007 1.6 Dolce 3dr 2-Tronic (Review date: 2nd March '11)
I have had this car for 4 years and it has proved very reliable. Boot space is limited but I knew that when I purchased it.
Its a great car to drive with the tiptronic gearbox. Fairly quiet on the motoway and good around town.
I drive the car into central London on a daily basis.
Doors are great and never had a problem with them.

the electric sliding doors are brilliant as it makes it easier to get in or out, other people might fault this car but i cant, ive only had it since xmas and i wont be parting with it.
The Star that never shine...
PEUGEOT 1007 1.4 Dolce 3dr (Review date: 23rd February '11)
The 1007 is a star for me.
When I saw the 1007, there's only one thing got in my mind. Peugeot tried to make an economical car with a flexibility of a utility vehicle and that of a mini car. I would admit that when I bought it, there were some problems such as, the passenger air bag fault, door fault. But with my persistent effort with Peugeot dealer to sort it out; from then on, I never had problems with air bags fault and on the sesame doors again. I started to notice its unique features. First, all safety features such as seat belt alarm, ABS, parking assist sensor (rear) can be found normally on top of the range cars. But you have it in 1007. You can always monitor how economical your driving on the instrument digital display. Front seats have a good legroom. The rear seats does not offer a very good legroom but an average height of an adult can sit with good level of comfort at the back. The biggest extra for me is the folding rear seat giving you a size of a boot that is as big as ordinary saloon or smaller state car. With the roof quite high, you can put bulky loads that would normally restrict your view of the back with an ordinary hatchback or saloon car. Maneuvering when driving this car is as good as any hatchback car. I knew for a fact that this car does not offer a very good power train or smooth transmission when you change gear, but what else you can ask for? For its price I think Peugeot made an awful lot of effort to make it competitive to its rivals. For me its a good car for what it was made for and even exceeded my expectation. Take it from me, I part exchange my Smart car from it. If I fold my rear sits, it's like I'm driving a Smart car with a big booth in it. It's just a shame it's already a history.
