Nissan +2 QQ Tekna puredrive
NISSAN QASHQAI+2 1.5 dCi Tekna 5dr (Review date: 26th February '12)
4.5
I bought the QQ +2 1.5 DCI PurdriveTekna model this car is fantastic it is so smooth, ok it might not be the fastest of the mark, but where can you drive nowadays and use all the power a car has. Road tax £115 and 60 MPH in real comfort. I tested the Kuga and Sportage, they could not touch the level of creature comforts the Nissan had to offer. I would recommend the car, really looking forward to taking it to France this year. The car got the seal of approval from my family we had only gone a couple of miles up the road and they were really taken. The comfort over the bumps and low noise in the cabin from the outside is second to non, don't take my word for this get out there and test drive this car you won't be disappointed. I have had the car for a short period with nothing bad to say at this stage. I will come back and let you know how the car performed after my french trip.

Bought this car in a hurry as my Mondeo's gearbox failed. To be honest my wife liked it more than I did.
I have been using it daily now for a couple of months and I am pleasantly surprised.
I recently tested a new BMW X3 the 335d twin turbo -very nice! But, personally, I would not trade in the Nissan for a £50k car. The Nissan is nearly as good and certainly as comfy.
The engine is responsive and is quite quiet when warm, the auto box is smooth and the 4wd has got me out of some very muddy fields.
The car drives really well, for me. I find it smooth and economical at over 40mpg on a run. Space inside the car is huge and you just love the panoramic roof. I love the toys like the reversing camera, auto wipers and lights.
Seats are comfortable and we have not had any problems with our teenagers in the rear two seats.
I can recommend the car.

Having owned BMWs and VW in the past I was expecting this car to be very different both in terms of quality and driving experience. I have to be honest and say that I've been impressed! It's really practical and comfortable and drives well for family car... The extra seats and the 4WD are an added bonus plus it's fully loaded with all gadgets and options that you expect to pay extra for with other Brands. So far, I'm really happy with the car.

18 months after we bought this, we still love the car. It drives great, economical for a 2.0 engine, but also has very good acceleration if needed. We went for the +2 to get a bigger boot, more than 7 seats, i'd not be happy having kids so close to the back of the car on a regular basis, in case of a crash, although we have used them on occasion.
Overall the car is built well and reliable, we've had a problem with the handbrake mechanism not adjusting which Nissan have fixed a few times.
My favourite feature is the multi-use screen, which is a radio, ipod player (ipod connects in centre console), satnav, mobile phone via bluetooth and a reversing camera - this feature rocks!
Overall a great car, very happy and would fully recommend.

Lots For Your Money But Not Much Quality
NISSAN QASHQAI+2 1.5 dCi Tekna 5dr (Review date: 15th June '11)

Bought this car at 18 months old with 18K on the clock. Its the Tekna so has all the options including heated leather seats, privacy glass etc. Previously I've owned a fully loaded BMW 1 Series and a top spec Mini Clubman, both great cars but wanted something bigger but without the 20mpg running costs. Opted for this and its just - alright.
It does 44mpg with a roof rack and 3 bike carriers on. Its cheap on road tax. Its roomy. But it just lacks a decent finish - it feels cheap and plasticy and that if you give glove box a firm slam it will drop off. The fittings for the seat belts at the bottom wobble around and the whole trim is just, well, cheap. The gear change feels lose and clunky and the steering wheel is hard plastic that makes your hands sweaty. The lever to move the rear seats forward is long and wobbley too - I fear that may give one of these days.
On a driving level the 1.5L diesel is soooo slow when pulling away you fear the lights may turn back to red and consider your days trying to burn anyone off at lights well and truely over!
Overall its OK but nothing special - serves its purpose and thats about it. If your coming from having a BMW or Audi or any real quality car then beware - your trading quality in for quantity.

We have recently bought the qashqai 2 for more room for the kids and reliability, and thus far it is just fantastic, we tend to do a lot of travelling from Glasgow to The Midlands and it is comfortable, a pleasure to drive and economical with the cruise control being great. Running costs are yet to be discovered being a diesel but we seem to be getting more milage out of a full tank but we had a petrol before so will take time to realise the difference.
