Great car-1.6 M/T full option
NISSAN QASHQAI 1.6 [117] Acenta 5dr [Start Stop] (Review date: 4th May '12)
4.8
I bought this car since December 2011 brand new, and it is of-course model 2012. It is a very smooth ride i can hardely hear the engine running. Firm on the ground and suspension is amazing, especially when it gets bumpy.Great looks, loaded options..AMAZING.
My other owned car is Mecedes-Benz C200K AVANTGARDE!! For a Benz driver to admire a Jappanise car, that can answer on all the negative feedbacks that made me going crazy to read!!! Most of the creticism is personal problems or driver's attitude (read again the reviews).
Pros:
-Great vision on driver's position (feeling powerfull)
-Easy access over vehicle controls on driver's seat (lovely feeling)
-Plenty of room and space inside cabin (travelling is enjoyable)
-Steering, brakes, audio, and smooooth handeling, and fuel economy (comfortable feeling)
Cons:
-Moderate kick down, expected more, but satisfied with it (one star deducted, cuz nothing is perfect)
Those who plan to buy it, GO AHEAD, you'll enjoy it..

service package for nissan qashqai
NISSAN QASHQAI 2.0 dCi N-Tec 5dr (Review date: 1st May '12)

THE CAR WAS EXPENSIVE AND NASTY { NOT CHEAP AND NASTY } plastic inside was left with a lot of sharp edges ignition key was far to large when in your pocket not a foldaway one Service package was not refundable if you did not use it dealership and nissan gb very unhelpful when asked for refund Also not told about the exhaust filters that have to be heated to a certain temprature to clean them out Alltogether a very bad experience with nissan which i will never deal with again
disappointed
More Renault than Nissan - regrettably
NISSAN QASHQAI 1.5 dCi N-Tec 5dr (Review date: 8th March '12)

Sadly this model is not a real Nissan due to the influence of Renault. Generally it's a practical car, fuel economy is very good but it's performance is lacking, it runs out of puff going up motorway inclines. Servicing is expensive at a Nissan dealer, £250 to change oil and filter and generally look round. Many external plastic parts are flimsy and build quality is only average, albeit better than a french car. I've had many Nissans over the years and this is the first ever where the painted bumper colour did not match the body colour, poor quality control. Inside the plastic trim is not up to usual standard either, flimsy and cheap. Gearchange is clunky.
Reliability got no star rating as before 30,000 miles the cambelt broke and ruined the engine. This part's service life is supposed to be 60,000 miles and a catastrophic failure such as this is unacceptable. So beware if you buy a Nissan that has a Renault engine you could be in for much inconvenience at least and a huge repair bill if your car is out of warranty. I have disposed of mine.

Nissan Qashqai 1.5Dci NTec

Had the Qashqai 2 year now, have found it very reliable, economical, engine is adequate for the size and weight of car. Has enough room for 5 adults comfortably, large boot space and child seats fit with plenty of space for front passengers. Feels well built and extremely safe when driving . Overall an excellent car

Qashqai Woes!

I purchased my Qashqai 1.5 dci N-tec in July 09 expecting the reliability and customer service I had enjoyed from this brand in the last 30 years. Oh how wrong can I be!!
The car itself when rarely operational is comfortable, economical and absorbs speed bumps, uneven road surfaces with aplomb. I use it mostly traveling to and from work on a mixture of motorway and urban roads.
Troubles, ha! well I'll try not to bore you with everything but here is just some of my experiences.
Automatic window wipers erratic. Total car failure, no lights, engine.(took dealer 1 week to resolve) electric window failure, suspension problems, drivers seat adjustment problems, Speaker failure. etc etc. My Qashqai is at this moment sitting in the dealer (almost 3 weeks) after engine start problems, (diagnosed as needing full engine strip down after 30000 miles) I wrote to Nissan UK for an extended warranty considering the loyalty I have given them plus the problems I've suffered and was told it wasn't policy to do so. In other words no!
Needless to say I cannot recommend a Qashqai.

1st Qashqai owned was a 1.6 petrol and was perfectly capable car although the engine was a bit revvy and really needed 6th gear.
I got a surprising trade in value against the present 1.5 dci Ntec and couldn't resist! The engine is a bit noisy on idle but suits the cars style and has been reliable in the year owned. Running costs are good for the size of car and display shows 55mpg ( 42 for previous petrol). It does every type of journey capably and i still enjoy driving it.
Glass roof is worth having as makes it much lighter in-side and reversing sensors a must, Ntec has reversing camera but i'm not sure it's better than audible sensor although good for showing off!

I chose the 4x4 looks and imagethen the car. Settled on the qashai then tried all the engine and trim options. There wasn't much choice of used 'crossover' in my price range back then.
Couldn't afford to run the 2L petrol.
Couldn't afford the model wanted with preference 2L diesel.
Had 1.5L diesel for a wekend and doesnt drive well on my mix of roads.
1.6L petrol was just right although is only model with 5 gear 'box. I dont do a lot of motorway miles so its OK
I don't go offroad so front whel drive only is not a problem too and lots of saved weight means more MPG.
Its still a heavy car so cn only expect 40-45 to the gallon
Glass roof is a must, accenta model is best option but roof is an option here so some searching needed.

Have had the car from new 18 months ago and this is the first Nissan I have had.
Round town it is doing approx 54mpg , inside the boot we have plenty of room for our golf clubs, that's two sets and two electric trollies & batteries.
The car has so many extras inc full leather, bluetooth, sunroof, alloy's,heated seats, keyless entry etc
Its a pleasure to drive and running costs are so good.
Test drive one and see for yourself
