Very good reliable car

NISSAN PRIMERA 2.2Di S 5dr (Review date: 30th November '10)

4.8

This car is really good, reliable, quite economical (about 450-550 miles per tank of fuel, depends on usage, especially good on motorway journeys). It is comfortable too, even on UK roads.

The boot space is fantastic for a hatchback. We usually getting everything we want including two quilts (13.5 togs), two pillows, all groceries we need and all equipment (including barbeque, bag of coal etc) without even thinking or special packing. If you will fold rear seats, you will be able to get in there a lot more! But the front passanger seat can't be folded, so, if you want to move some long and wide things, I would recommend to buy roof rails.

As for the passanger comfort, there is plenty of leg room in the back and three adults (not skinny) can sit there absolutely comfortable. But the car is rather big and it does not fit in some parking bays (usually by length, but I have encounered couple of times, when it didn't fit by width).

This car has rather unusual dashboard, where you will find speedo, rev counter and other gauges in the middle rather than behind the wheel, but believe me, it is so good when you will get used to it that now I do not want it to be anywhere else.

Yes, there is very common problem with the CD player on these cars. It stuck and do not accept discs any more. It can be repaired at home, instruction can be found on the Internet, or just ask the seller to lower the price for the fault (check, how much it will be to repair it) or get it repaired.

I have this car for almost two years and didn't have any major issue, except the starter lead once had failed. Ah, yes, do not fuel this car on supermarket fuel pumps... The computer start to give glow plug mistake and the engine start to misfire sometimes. When I started to fuel on Shell, everything become normal and I have not had any more problems. Have gone through two services and everything was absolutely fine.

Strongly recommend this car, if it is in ok conditions. It will serve you really well! I have not regret one bit about my choice.

The Nissan Primera - A Different Car Worth Considering

NISSAN PRIMERA 1.8i S 5dr (Review date: 23rd November '10)

4.5

I'm a big fan of japanese cars and the Nissan Primera joins the growing list of cars.

The 1.8i model is a sturdy and hardy vehicle. Such a spacious cabin with a centre console offering large buttons to control the radio, A/C, fuel consumption, service intervals. There are buttons to control a mobile telephone and sat nav from the centre console but the wiring needs to be put in place.

The one downside to the centre console is it is in full view of all your fellow passengers to see how fast you drive.

I find the vehicle a great car to use on the motorway providing such power and presence on the road. Its fast, smooth and economical. It is a great car for those with families as it has the ISOFixes in there.

Such a lovely car and plenty room for several large suitcases.
